Legacy of Veteran T. Balaraman

Dr. Velu Balaraman is a dedicated patriot, former Indian Army sportsman, and committed social reformer whose life embodies discipline, service, and humanity. With 17 years of distinguished experience as a sportsman and boxer in the Indian Army, he has served the nation with pride, perseverance, and honor.

He proudly carries forward the legacy of his father, Veteran T. Balaraman, a war hero who served the nation in the 1965 War, 1971 War, and the Burma operations. Inspired by his father’s courage and sacrifice, Dr. Velu Balaraman has dedicated his life to upholding the values of patriotism and selfless service

After retiring from the Army, he redirected his mission toward the welfare of those who have served the nation. Through The Real Heroes of Nation Ex-Servicemen Charitable Trust, he has worked tirelessly to support Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris, widows, and senior citizens. His initiatives include employment assistance, land settlements, and facilitation of ECHS medical services, positively impacting countless families.

Expanding his vision of service, Dr. Velu Balaraman recently founded The Real Heroes of Nation Ex-Servicemen Charitable Trust and National Human Rights and Justice, Bangalore. Through these organizations, he extends support to transgender communities, orphanages, and underprivileged individuals, advocating for dignity, equality, opportunity, and justice for all.
