Dr. Velu Balaraman

Service has always been the guiding force of my life. My years in the Indian Army shaped my identity—teaching me discipline, humility, and the responsibility that comes with wearing the nation’s uniform. The lessons I learned on the field, as both a soldier and a sportsman, strengthened my belief that true service continues long after retirement.

When I began interacting closely with Ex-Servicemen, widows, senior citizens, and families in need, I understood the depth of challenges they faced in everyday life—challenges that often went unseen and unanswered. This awareness became the motivation to create platforms dedicated to their welfare, support, and empowerment.

Through The Real Heroes of Nation Ex-Servicemen Charitable Trust, the Charitable Trust, and National Human Rights and Justice, Bangalore, my mission has been simple: to extend a helping hand to those who devoted their lives to the country and to uplift individuals who deserve dignity and opportunity. Whether through medical support, legal assistance, education, employment initiatives, or community welfare programs, each effort is driven by compassion and purpose.

Every step we take reminds me that meaningful change is built through unity and consistent action. I remain committed to expanding our initiatives, strengthening our reach, and ensuring that our heroes—and those in need—receive the support they truly deserve.

 With gratitude and determination, I look forward to continuing this journey of service and building a more caring and inclusive society.
